Create Together

As a self-taught artist, I’ve come to appreciate how much we can learn and grow within a supportive, creative community. My skills weren’t shaped in formal classrooms, but in places I’ve always found more lively and free — weekend workshops, adult education centers, visits to local artists’ studios. In those spaces, I see people gathered not out of obligation, but because they truly care about the subject. The atmosphere is open, joyful, and encouraging, with everyone eager to try something new and simply enjoy the process. I find that beautiful. It’s this sense of connection and shared curiosity that inspires me to give back in my own way — by offering workshops where people can come together, explore, and create without pressure, just as others once welcomed me.

Cyanotype workshop

Cyanotype is a technique that continues to inspire me, no matter how long I’ve worked with it. Simple yet versatile, it feels more like an experiment than a strict process. Every time I follow a playful "what-if" from my inner child, I’m surprised by what appears; and it still takes my breath away to watch the blue emerges while washing. It's such a beautiful and magical process. If you haven't checked out my cyanotype projects, feel free to browse New wave, Weather forecast, and Blue universe.

Above all, cyanotype is a humble, welcoming technique. It doesn’t take much space, effort, or cost to set up a little cyanotype corner at home, and you don’t need years of experience to create something wonderful. Newcomers and seasoned makers alike can admire each other’s experiments and say — I love that part in your work!

That’s why I’m delighted to offer workshops where anyone curious about cyanotype can gather, experiment, and share in the joy of making. If you’ve never tried cyanotype before, welcome aboard this unique journey in blue! We’ll start with my extensive collection of botanical samples to create beautiful prints, much like Anna Atkins did in the 1800s:

You’ll also have the chance to experiment with alternative printing techniques using carefully selected stencils or even negatives of your own images:
